Starr & Spencer [2006-2007]

[Starr is horrified to learn that Blair is with Spencer]
Spencer: (to Blair and Starr) I think I'm going to let you two have a little privacy.
Starr: No, you're not going anywhere because I'm pissed off at you, too!
Spencer: Well, that's understandable. I --
Starr: Don't talk down to me. FYI, that is one thing my father never does.
Spencer: All right, Starr, listen, I never presumed to try to take his place --
Starr: Just stop it, ok? I trusted you. I told you personal things, and this whole time, you're off hooking up with my mom behind everybody's back.

Starr: You snaked your way into our lives to make us like you -- for what? So that when you dropped the stepdaddy bomb on us, that we'd all be ok with it?
Spencer: It's not like your mother and I planned for any of this to happen --
Starr: All right, just stop it! I already have too much info.

Spencer: Nobody is trying to take your father's place, Starr.
Starr: You can't and no one will.
Spencer: But I can't change the way I feel about your mother -- I don't want to.
Starr: She'll never love you like she loved my dad.

[Spencer arrives at Todd's execution]
Spencer: I have a pass to be in the viewing room during the execution.
Starr: What? Are you freaking kidding me??

Reporter: You want to say something, Starr?
Starr: Yes. Spencer Truman is a creep, and he wants my father to die so that he can be with my mother.

Starr: I want to thank you for saving my father’s life.
Spencer: Well, you're welcome, Starr. Thank you for thanking me. That means a lot to me, especially coming from you.
Starr: Just to let you know -- when my dad gets better, we'll all be a family again, so my mom won’t be needing you for much longer.

Starr: (to Spencer) My dad’s getting better. Isn’t that the best news?

Starr: (to Kelly) My mom's best is pawning us off on her family so that she could be with Dr. Dirtbag.

Spencer: Did you hear what your father said to your mother? I'm sure that must be very painful for you, huh?
Starr: He's mad at her for now. So am I. We get mad a lot, but then we get over it -- always.
Spencer: Might be different this time.
Starr: I doubt it, so I think that you should start to change your plans. You know, maybe find other kids to fake parent?
Spencer: You know, it's really not helpful for a teenage girl to harbor all that resentment. It just isn't. I understand that this is a very difficult time for you, and --
Starr: What was difficult for me was thinking that you could've pulled off getting my father executed for a murder that he didn't do. But this? No, it's not too difficult, because unlike you, I'm going to get exactly what I want.

[Starr is faking amnesia to try to get Blair away from Spencer and back with Todd]
Langston: I wouldn’t want Dr. Skeevy as a stepfather.
Starr: That’s not going to happen.
Langston: How are you going to stop it? Your amnesia thing was a bust. What’s next, leprosy?
Starr: I wouldn’t give Spencer the satisfaction.

[Starr tries to convince the guard at the hospital to let her speak to Spencer privately]
Starr: Spencer Truman is the one that put my dad on death row. You know how after a trial, the family gets to talk to the killer, tell them how much that they've hurt their family and ruined their lives?
Guard: Uh-huh.
Starr: I never got a chance to say that to Spencer -- because he's going to a mental hospital instead of a prison. I know it might be wrong of me, but I need to tell him what I think of him. And then maybe finally I'll be able to move on with my life.

[Starr visits Spencer in the hospital]
Starr: I have news for you, Spencer, and you're not going to like it. I have news that is going to ruin your whole day, maybe your entire miserable life.
Spencer: You do have a sadistic streak, don't you? Just like your father.
Starr: I am proud to be like my father, especially now, because when my mother gets better, my dad is going to ask her to marry him and I can guarantee she'll say yes. The right family is going to be together again, Spencer, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Spencer: Want to bet?

Starr: (to Spencer) You think you scare me handcuffed to that bed, about to be carted off into the loony bin? Well, I have news for you -- unlike some people, I don't want you dead. I want you to live long enough to read my parents' marriage announcement in the newspaper. Don't be expecting an invitation to the wedding. But don't worry -- you'll be busy in a straightjacket with all the other nut jobs playing bingo. Oh, well.
