Who are you?
My name is Ali (my screenname on various OLTL boards is colormist). I started Oh Great One when I was still in college, and I keep it up now in my spare time.

When did you first open this site?
April 13, 2004.

Why is it named "Oh Great One"?
"Oh Great One" is a nickname for Starr that she and Todd came up with back in 2002. Here's what happened: Starr found Troy McIver imprisoned in an abandoned funhouse in town (he was being held there by Lindsay Rappaport). When Starr told her parents about Troy, the story was so outlandish that they didn't believe her (also, Starr had been in trouble lately for telling lies). Eventually, the truth about Troy came out and Starr made sure her parents felt guilty about not believing her. She came up with a list of conditions she wanted Todd and Blair to meet in order to earn her forgiveness -- one of the conditions was that they call her by the name "Oh Great One Who Never Lies." Blair thought it silly, but Todd gave in and would on occasion call Starr "Oh Great One" or "the Great One." Starr also has used the nickname in reference to herself.

How often do you update the site?
It varies depending on how busy I am in "real life."

Where do the pictures in the gallery come from?
The Starr or Kristen scans or media pictures in the gallery were all either scanned by me or saved from general soap sites such as ABC.com or SoapOperaWeekly.com. I do not take pictures from fansites. All screencaps were capped by me from edit tapes.

Can I use pictures in the gallery for fan art?
Sure! You don't even have to ask, just go ahead and use them!

Can I use pictures in the gallery for my own website?
Sure, just please credit Oh Great One as your original source.

Where do you get the transcripts and quotes from?
Everything from 1994 to mid-2001 is typed up by me, and then formatted. Everything from mid-2001 to the present is from the TV Megasite.

Can I use some of the transcripts and quotes for my own site?
If the transcripts/quotes you want to use are from 1995 to 2001 (around the time of Jack's birth) then yes, you can use them, but please credit Oh Great One as your source. If you want to use transcripts from 2001-present, then make sure you credit the TV Megasite.

Where do you get the articles and quotes in the Press section from?
Nearly all of the articles are typed up by me, from old issues of soap opera magazines. A few were copied and pasted from online sites like SoapOperaDigest.com or TVGuide.com.

Can I use some of the articles in the Press section from my own site?
Sure, just credit Oh Great One as your source. (Unless it says that the article came from TVGuide.com, SoapNet.com or SoapOperaDigest.com -- in that case, credit those websites, not me.)

Can I link to your site from my site?
Yes, of course! You don't even have to ask! You can find buttons to link back by clicking here, and please do e-mail me if you're planning to link here, so I can link back to your site as well.
